Calendula officinalis ‘Orange King’

Popular in gardens since at least the early 1920s, Orange King is a wonderful substantial flower of glowing orange. The Ball calendula was selected from a group of this variety; it too, is now an heirloom. Snap off the faded flowers for continued bloom. Listed in a 1922 seed catalog. Self-sows.
