Description Weatherproof Cabin Light – 3 x LED Round, White, 12 Volt, 38 Lumen These economically priced flush-mount weatherproof LED cabin lights have extremely low power consumption (approximately one tenth of a normal bulb), extending battery life while providing a soft focused light. Their weatherproof IP67 rating makes them ideal for cockpit, stairway or interior cabin lighting. Contains 3 x LED. Light output: 38 lumen. Power: 0.22 watts at 12 Volt (12 Volt only). Dimensions: 76 mm wide x 20 mm depth. Rated LED life: 50,000 hours. Finish: supplied with a white coloured plastic exterior snap-on shroud that covers screw holes for a neat finish. Seals: supplied with an “O” ring seal (round light). Mounting: dual option — flush mount or surface mount (surface mounting spacer supplied). Fully wired for use; switch NOT included. Constructed from non-corrosive materials. Note: The RWB5742 4 x LED light variant suits both 12 Volt and 24 Volt systems; this model described here is 12 Volt only. Warnings Do not connect to the incorrect voltage. Verify your vessel’s electrical system is 12 Volt before installation. Switch not included — fit a suitable marine-grade switch and inline fuse sized for your circuit. Benefits at a glance: Very low power draw to preserve battery life. Long working life — no hot-globe issues typical of incandescent bulbs. Weatherproof IP67 for reliable performance in damp / wet areas. Recess mounting for a tidy, low-profile finish. Boat Hut Insight For cabin or companionway lighting, think not just about brightness but about light colour and placement. A 38 lumen output gives a gentle, non-glary glow perfect for night navigation or reading charts without ruining night vision, but if you plan to use these as task lights (e.g. over a galley work area) you may prefer a higher-lumen or additional directed fixture. Also consider wiring them to a switched circuit with a dimming option or separate night mode so you can reduce intensity further for late-night cruising. Finally, when replacing old incandescent fixtures, check the mounting depth and shroud cut-out — some older panels need a shallow adapter or extra spacer to achieve a neat fit. Additional tips: Seal cut-outs and screw holes with a marine-grade sealant during installation to maintain IP67 performance over time. Use slightly larger gauge wire for runs over 3 metres to reduce voltage drop and preserve LED output. Fit an inline fuse close to the battery to protect the circuit — match fuse rating to total circuit draw. Test the light at night to confirm placement and glare — sometimes moving one fixture a few centimetres avoids reflections on varnished surfaces or windows.
